Window.location.

That’s the third time I’ve used window.location.href to look at a URL in a new tab. It’s more of a hack than a proper method, but it gets the job done.

You can also use window.location to load external content, but window.location will always load the page if you’re in an incognito tab, meaning that you can’t really see if the external web page you loaded successfully. That’s a good thing when you’re watching a page with your friends online, but it can be a bad thing when you’re on your own.

We had been doing a lot of “hack” JavaScript methods to load external content, mainly because we were trying to load external content on our homepage. But now that we have external content loaded, we’re wondering when we can use window.location again, and if we should.

To load external content, you need to set window.location to something like window.location.href. This will tell the browser to try to load the external page. It will not load if you dont set it to window.location.href. When you run window.location.href, it will tell the browser to load the external page at the location you set. window.location is a very common way to access external content from a page. It was first used by browsers to get around problems with embedded images. It was later used by web servers to load content asynchronously.

It’s very common for users to set window.location.href to point to the external page, and it’s also common to use it to get around the browser reloading problems. For example, if you’re on the home page of the website you’re working on, you can set the window.location.href to the url of the external page instead of the home page.
