We all know random means something different, but for some reason it seems to be a popular choice among value-oriented practitioners. I am not a fan of this because it suggests something that is fundamentally random, but I am not sure I am really a fan of this option because all of the math is kind of jumbled up for my taste. A better choice would be to have a random function in the first place.
The main argument in this argument is that random does tend to make it impossible for those who have just finished playing the game to remember that the game is still in progress. We just have to remember it for the rest of the game.
I’m not really sure what this means, but if you’re playing the game, I think it should be pretty obvious you were involved in combat a long time ago and would be playing it again.
