In JavaScript, a promise is a data transfer object that allows you to wait for a result with a given condition. For example, it’s often used in conjunction with the fetch API. However, I prefer to keep my promises closer to their use-case, so I use Promises instead.

Promise.all is a method that takes an array of promises and returns a new array of promises. It’s a great way to chain promises together.

The main reason why you should keep promises is that you’re not supposed to keep them forever. That means they’re not permanent. You can always return and get a promise that you know has been set, but you’ll never know if it’s still there. To avoid this, you want to keep the promise at the place it was set until the point that it was put.

Promises have a lot going for them. A promise that we set up in our promise.all takes precedence over any other promises that we set up inside of the same function. This means that if the promise is set up in Promise.all, the rest of the promises in the promise chain will be set even if they were not in the original promise. This is great if you only need to set up one promise.
